Last week my sister came to visit me in Athens and I offered her birthday present : the Log Cabin quilt. As you can see on the picture, she is so happy with it! She will hang it on the main wall of her lounge in her house near the sea. When she will send me pictures of it, I will post them here.
We had a great time visiting Athens with a friend and my daughter, the weather was marvellous. We enjoyed some great walks through the old streets of Athens, in the museums... On some pictures you can see the hill of Acropolis.
The Marottes I show in the last two pictures are presents my sister brought me from Paris. She found them in an antique shop. They are antiques from the end of the nineteenth century and at that time they were displayed in the shop windows to present hats. I love them and I think that they give a very special dramatic effect to my room.
Cheers.

Blog Anniversary!

On the opportunity of my blog first anniversary, I thought of showing you again
my very first post.

Eight Point stars quilt

When I decided to start the blogging "adventure" I did not know if I would go on for long, and if I would not be too shy to show my humble work compared with all the marvellous creations of the other bloggers. At the end I enjoyed so much blogging and especially having contacts with such nice people and wonderful quilters that I forgot about my shyness, and that one year passed without I realized it! It is so fantastic to meet people from allover the world!

Thank you to all my blogger friends, quilters and not quilters!

Knitted crib blanket

This Sunday I am going to line my little crib blanket that I finished knitting. For this I will hand sew
a Liberty fabric on the back, using a silk thread that is very pleasant to use for a slipping stitch .

I am linking up with Kathy for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Enjoy your slow stitching!
