Summer time is Flower Garden time! I took the boxes of this project from the shelf to see what it is about...
Ok, first thing : I am rather pleased to find a quite good organization!
Second thing : not very pleased to see that I did not progress so well! Little by little as it goes, it seems another 10 years will be necessary to finish this quilt, especially that I intended to make it Queen size and have it handquilted... I may review this point... maybe a single bed quilt will be alright!
Well, let's not be discouraged and let's start : I have first to cut 216 paper hexies and 216 muslin hexies, then baste and piece them around the 12 unfinished blocks. When this will be finished, I will have done a great step forward!

Enjoy your quilting!

Sewing Room

A new project.

Shelves

I don't know if somebody is like me, but when I take it into my head to start
a new quilt, I have first to clean everything around me and put order in my
sewing room. That's what I did yesterday and I think it's ok, everything
is tidy now, I can start my first block, using the fabrics seen in my post
of last saturday. This is also an opportunity to show you some parts of
my sewing place and stuff.

Sewing box

Sewing box

I could name this post La Vie en Rose.
I do love pink and buy a lot of tunes of this color.
When I found this vintage style fabric with the pink
dress I thought it would make a beautiful
box for my sewing stuff.

Nottingham Village

Fabrics

Together with quilting, I enjoy building boxes with cardboards,
that I cut and cover with fabrics.

Charm Pack

Here I chose fabrics from the line Nottingham Village, that
have an ancient touch.

Blue box

This box has a removable compartment.
