Knitting

For me, wintertime is not wintertime without knitting near the fireplace! I love the warmth of the wool, and nowadays you can find such gorgeous yarns, with a wonderful soft touch and in a huge range of colors, that it's impossible to resist! At this time being I am knitting a blue jacket using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn, and I just received a great wool from Rowan : Felted Tweed, of which I love the soft tune and touch. Most problably for another jacket...

Sharing today a "slow knitting" post at Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching as I do not have any quilting to show today.

  1. I love your yarn very pretty - I can not wear wool, allergic to it but I sure love it

  2. Loving the wool too! I knit two wraps for a Rowan wool. A friend gave it to me, it was her grandmother's. There was enough to make a wrap for each of us.

  13. I was wearing a pair of gloves today that I knitted in Rowan Felted Tweed a few years ago now - it certainly wears well! I love the little flecks of colour and it's so warm too. I think you're right, knitting by a winter fire just has to be done and you've inspired me to find something to knit; it's been a while! Happy New Year Christine!
