Sea and Sand Log Cabin

Yesterday I started to work on the fabrics that my son brought me, shown in my last post.
I am making this quilt for my sister's 60th birthday. As she will use it in her house near the sea, I chose various tunes of blue and beige recalling the beach, and I named it Sea and Sand.
I will need 64 blocks, and so far I finished 16.
The final size of this lap quilt will be 66" x 66".

    How nice from your son to bring you the fabrics.
    Since our recent trip to Danmark I also dream about quilts in the shades of the sea, beach and sunset. If only there would be more time... ;-)

  3. Waouh! Je ne peux pas croire que tu aies déjà fait tout ça! C'est une véritable merveille! Quant aux couleurs, tu pouvais difficilement faire mieux, c'est exactement les tons du salon de Saint-Tropez.
    Du coup j'ai tellement hâte qu'il trône sur mon canapé!
    Un immense bravo à toi et un très grand merci à Bob pour t'avoir si gentiment rapporté tous ces magnifiques tissus!

  17. Je découvre votre blog grâce à Katell. J'aime beaucoup le fait que vous ayez introduit du bleu pâle dans le beige. Ca casse ce côté trop régulier que peut avoir parfois le log cabin. J'aime beaucoup votre blog! Belle semaine à vous
