Chevron Baby Girl Quilt Finished

Another finished baby quilt. I had published a tutorial about how to make this chevron Here.

For the backing I chose a fabric print of Jemima Puddle Duck from a tale of Beatrix Potter, my "idole".

As well on the top I used a fabric print with Jemima eggs in a nest. I found some illustrations of this tale in this

wonderful book.

Pink Baby Girl Quilt Finished

The second baby quilt for the little twin girls is finished. I had shown Here, and Here the progress of this quilt. It was a pleasure for me to work on them, and I hope it will as well be a pleasure for the mother to receve this gift. It's my seventh baby quilt in a few months, and for the time being I don't think that any baby is expected in my surrounding, so that I can think of a new project with other kinds of fabrics… Hum… thinking twice about this, it may be wiser to finish some tops stored in my closet for too long!

Antique Scrappy Star Quilt

When I saw this quilt on auction, I thought this one is for me! I could not resist to such colors! Especially to the yellow of the sashings and the violet of the blocks. The person who did this quilt must have had an idea about complementary colors! I as well love the scrappy stars. This is an end 19th century quilt in a very good state, nicely hand quilted. I did some trials in the lounge to find the appropriate place to display it and finally decided that it will be fine on the dinning-room table. It enlightens the room! One of the things I love is to decorate the house with quilts and flowers. Here is a bunch of ranunculus freshly brought from the market. Such lovely and joyful colors!
