Herringbone Scarf and Pears

Pears

I knitted a scarf for a dear friend. This was the project I talked about in this post.
The pattern comes from Purlsoho.
I used the yarn Rowan Kid Classic and needles 5mm.
Those pears come from the biological market, they are so wonderful and the taste reminds me of my childhood when all the fruits were so tasty! I took this picture because I like the contrast between the light and the dark on them on my dining-room table.

Quilts and Crafts Exhibition

Stunning quilt created, sewn and quilted by Eleni.

Easter is approching here in Greece and therefore various beautiful craft fairs are organized.
This one, where I went last saturday, happened in Goulandri Museum in Kifissia.
Our friend Eleni had a stall where she presented her last quilting creations.
She is doing a wonderful job and is very successful!

Anna, a young girl, fabric designer, was selling her wonderful creations, with a Greek inspiration.
This is a blue and white scarf that I bought from her. It is mixed cotton and silk, and is so soft and
so pleasant to wear.

I really enjoyed this exhibition, having coffee, cakes and nice chats with my friends.
This was a beautiful Saturday!

Greetings from Athens!

Quilted Liberty Bag for my Knitting

Here I am, still in London! I had to cancel my flight back to Athens, due to a bad flu.
The weather is so beautiful here, like summer, London is so extraordinary, so many beautiful places to visit, so many things to do and I have to stay at home... too bad. So I drink tea and eat scones all day long, I read a very good English book, and I knit a scarf.

This is a very thick and soft wool called "laine meche" and I use number 15 knitting needles.

I had bought this knitting bag at Liberty's shop and I carry it with me everywhere, so that I don't remain without something to do.
