I thought the shawl was finished, but my daughter who took those pictures wants it for herself and wants fringes. So there will be another post showing it with fringes. Therefore I have to make another one for myself! It is becoming "shawl mania" in this house! Meanwhile I am still working on extending my Gypsy quilt top. Not only "shawl mania" but as well "gypsy mania"...
If I were her, I would have asked for it too! It is really fun and pretty. She's a lucky girl!!
ReplyDeleteWell, your daughter took some gorgeous photos, so maybe she has earned it. I love the light against the gate there! And you did a great job with the shawl - the palette and the mix of stitches is really lovely. :D
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is beautiful Christine and you look gorgeous wearing it too!!! I prefer no fringe, but I am sure your daughter will love hers made with fringe.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! The colors are great and it looks good on. Will you make one using the same colors? Shawls are very cool to wear. For me...they never get old.

BTW: You look Maaaahvelooooous!!
Ce châle te vas comme un gant....si j'ose dire ! :)))
ReplyDeleteAttendons les franges alors mais je l'aime déjà beaucoup ainsi !
This is really beautiful! Do you have a pattern for it that you can share? I would love to crochet one for myself as I have plenty of yarn on hand right now! You look lovely modeling it by the way! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon! In a previous post of March 6th I showed the picture that inspired me and the link to how to make a half granny square shawl. I had no pattern but tried to reproduce the shawl on the picture.
DeleteChristine, the shawl is fabulous and how very lovely you look modelling it. Well done.

Ton châle me donne un coup de jeune. J'en avais fait un dans ce style quand j'avais treize ans. C'est loinnnnnnnnnnnnnnn :-) Je comprends que ta fille le prenne. J'aime la variété de tes points. Bon deuxième châle!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is looking beautiful and fun...and so are you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shawl, love all the pretty colours.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, and it looks perfect on you! I'm sure it will be lovely on your daughter too, with her dark hair and eyes. It's a nice compliment that she wants it. Good thing you can make another.
ReplyDeleteOh what lovely colours, it's gorgeous with or without fringes!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has good taste! I love all the colors. This looks like it would be a great way to use the stash .. pretty and stash busting!
ReplyDeleteLove your new shawl and your 4 patch quilt :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new shawl and your 4 patch quilt :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing! I'm glad to see pictures of it being modeled. Fringe should look pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Both the shawl, and the pictures of your wearing it. You inspire me. :^)
ReplyDeleteThe shawl looks awesome on you - no wonder why your daughter wants it!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning!! I've only just started crocheting but I'm going to have to hunt down a video tutorial I can follow, thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for such kind comments!
ReplyDeleteAh Christine I LOVE this shawl but I cannot crochet. Was it simple? I wear a lot of black too and that would be just perfect no fringe though xx
