Another passion of mine is for vintage toys, memories of my youth. My sister and me were very spoilt little girls with too many toys, but unfortunately our mother was "decluttering" obsessed and therefore was giving away all our stuff when not needed anymore. Not a single toy was saved!

Those boyish sweet toys belong to my friend Michele from our quilting group. I borrowed them to take pictures to share with you such little treasures... of course displayed on an antique doll quilt!

  1. It's like a little amusement park on a quilt! How fun Christine!

  2. Hi Christine...I never had these kind of toys. Really the only toy I recall having is a HUGE Panda bear. A difficult childhood eased by trips to the Library. Those toys are so colorful. I see them in vintage shops and they always call me for a look see.

  3. There is something about those vintage toys that pulls at our heart strings! Unfortunately, most of us have the same story, but it is so hard to save everything.

  4. These toys are so sweet. There's something appealing about the colors and the happy little faces. My mother got rid of all my toys too, although they were mostly Barbie dolls and accessories.

  7. Ce sont de vrais trésors. Ma mère institutrice prenait mes jouets pour son école... dur, dur...

  8. Isn't it annoying? My mother did the same! All I have left are 2 dolls, thankfully.
Our loft (mine and DH's) was full of our children's toys and they stayed there until both our children had lofts of their own to move it to :-) There are some old things you just never get rid of!
    xx
